What does Thanksgiving mean to you?
To me, it means surrounding myself with loved ones and appreciating all that I am thankful for. Thanksgiving dinner brings those you love together to celebrate another year of laughter, love, memories, and traditions.
Every family around the U.S. has its own set of traditions, and a big part about Thanksgiving traditions is the FOOD! One tradition we have at my family’s Thanksgiving is corn pudding. My grandmother has made this for every Thanksgiving meal that I can remember. Over the years, she has passed down the corn pudding torch to my dad, and now to me. I can’t wait to do the same when I have kids.
Traditions are all about bringing those you love together and sharing the memories that surround them. This is our second year at CodeScience creating a Thanksgiving Cookbook, and let me tell you, it’s fantastic! Reading the pages of this book is more than the recipes, but the stories that unfold about each one. Being able to bind so many different traditions into one book is absolutely amazing. Do yourself a favor, and take a look. The recipes inside are delicious!
This year we added pictures of everyone who submitted a recipe when they were a child. I think this adds a personal touch and gives a hint to how each one of us was raised very differently, but we are all brought together in the end with such different backgrounds, traditions, and FOOD!
Here is a little glimpse into a few pages of our cookbook.
From all of us here at CodeScience, we wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving full of traditions.
